South by Southwest
About South by Southwest
Plenty of cities have music festivals and film gatherings, but those are third-rate events in Austin, Texas. We go big or we go home, right? That’s why the South by Southwest Festival doesn’t just include the best music and movies of the year. It takes a bite from the city’s culture and incorporates some of the most exciting technology to be revealed in the upcoming year. Afterall, Austin is the “Silicon Hills,” and no one can take that name from us.
Starting on March 8th and lasting to the 17th, SXSW will be hosting a “galaxy-platter” of information and entertainment. Breaking out of the mold this year is the gaming industry. Social groups and high-end gaming companies will be talking about the newest in demos, must-have tech, and local tournaments. Music and film will also be another highlight of this year’s event, with some of the best rocking out for your enjoyment. And last but not least, is the technology seminars. Anyone who lives in Austin knows how important this is. You have to have the best in hardware and software. Check out what’s coming down the line and how you can use it to your advantage.
