Pflugerville Real Estate
Fifteen miles north of the Colorado River, along the blackland prairies, William Bohls founded Pflugerville in 1860. And, since its early days, Pflugerville has continued at a rapid growth rate. In the past 10 years, Pflugerville has more than tripled in size, and its largely attributed to location. Situated between Austin and Round Rock, the neighborhood gets the best of both worlds—a thriving cultural Mecca with increasing industry and technology.
Education is top-of-mind in Pflugerville, as its diverse community and job opportunities attract intelligence. So, it’s no wonder the county’s school district has been recognized as one of the best public school systems in Central Texas. Enrollment is currently at about 20,000 students across 18 elementary schools, five middle schools and three high schools. But, as Pflugerville’s ranking in popularity peaks, enrollment is expected to double by 2020.
But, Pflugerville is not just a bustling hub for work. It also stands by the mantra, “Work hard, play hard,” with over 500 acres of park and 25 miles of hiking and biking trails. There are 16 playgrounds including picnic areas and pools with year-round swim lessons. One of the highlights is Lake Pflugerville Park.
Downtown Pflugerville is a walking neighborhood with local shops and events taking over at varying times of the year. The Pfluger Pfamily Pfestival and EXPO lands the third weekend every October, followed by the Pfall ChiliPfest the second weekend in November. Other community events include the Hometown Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting, and PflugerGolf—the annual World Golfing Championship of Pflugerville.
