Cedar Park Homes

Cedar Park is a young neighborhood bordering the north end of Austin and the western edge of Round Rock. Most homes in the area are 10-15 years old with an average price point of $225,000 for about 2,500 square feet. It is a slightly longer commute to downtown Austin, but you are still close to Dell, 3M, and other major businesses while at the same time secluded from the, at times, overwhelming downtown hubbub. The community is often attributed to offering residents value for all of these reasons—cost per square foot, newly built and sound structures, proximity to industry, privacy and separation from downtown congestion.

There are a number of both private and public schools in the community. There are two high schools, three elementary schools and nine elementary schools making up the Leander Independent School District. All were recognized by the Texas Education Agency. Holding up the same high standards, there are currently several private schools in Cedar Park, including St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School, which opened a few minutes south of the city in 2009.

With a name like Cedar Park, the neighborhood has to deliver on outdoor spaces—and it does. One highlight each year is Movies in the Park at Elizabeth Milburn on Friday evenings during fall and spring seasons. There are also three public pools, and a 47,500-square foot recreation center with a gymnasium and raised walking, jogging trail. And, if you want give your wallet a workout, visit Cedar Park’s own Lakeline Mall and Plaza, or take a quick trip to Round Rock’s Outlets or Austin’s Arboretum.

Feeling like some live entertainment? The recently completed Cedar Park Event Center serves as home to the NHL Texas Stars Hockey Club, and the Toros Basketball. It also provides residents a new music and event venue—housing 8,700 seats—and bringing in an expansive calendar of traveling talent.
