Temperatures have been warming up, the sun has been coming out, and festivals are the newest reason to celebrate the season of Spring. If you’ve been looking for something to do this weekend, consider the Lake Travis SpringFest. Hosted this Saturday, April 27th, at the Backyard in Bee Cave, you can expect a great time eating barbecue, talking to local vendors, and listening to great music. Children will also have a blast as they roll around in giant “hamster balls,” get their faces painted, and bounce around jumping castles. In addition, there will be dunk tanks and reverse bungee jumping to make the event a truly unforgettable time for kids.
The BBQ Cook-Off
If you love barbecue, you are going to love SpringFest. Succulent aromas from the barbecue pit will have your mouth watering before you know it. Local chefs and BBQ aficionados will all be competing to be named this year’s Rib King of Lake Travis. From chili to chicken and ribs, you can taste some of the best food you’ll ever find in the Bee Cave area. If that doesn’t satisfy your stomach, there’ll be plenty of local food vendors in the area. You’ll be able to find delicious burgers, over-stuffed tacos, and juicy chicken wraps. Don’t forget to quench your thirst on freshly squeezed lemonade as well!
