What is Communities in Schools?
Communities in Schools is a local organization that helps students overcome their struggles in order to complete high school. Thanks to the variety of programs and services that CIS provides, 99% of the students who received help from the organization stayed in school or graduated last year.
The CIS mission is to surround students with a strong community of support and solutions, which empower them to stay in school and achieve their goals. Several fundraising events are held in the Central Texas area throughout the year as an effort to raise money to support these children and their families. Together, the residents and business owners of Austin can help to make a difference in the lives of Central Texas’ troubled youth.
